World Polio Day is celebrated on October 24th. In this context, Rotarians share information about polio and organize box collections in several locations, the proceeds of which go unabated to PolioPlus.

 

Rotary PolioPlus program enables everyone to support effective eradication efforts for this disease in Africa and Asia. In addition to vaccines, funding is needed for transportation, reaching children’s families, training vaccinators, and ensuring vaccination coverage. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is committed to tripling donations channeled through Rotary. A donation of 10 euros thus generates 30 euros directly for polio eradication work.
