Autumn Seminar 13.9.2025
Forum Marinum, Linnankatu 72, Turku, Finland
The autumn seminar is an important part of the clubs’ preparations for the coming season. The participation of the President and the Head of Service is strongly encouraged. The President’s participation fee is charged to the club as part of the district membership fee.
The seminar training will also be a key resource for club secretaries and useful for all club officers. The cost of the training package is €80 per participant.
The programme includes a presentation of activities seen in PETS, how they have been implemented, as a model for others, as well as a presentation by the important joint partner SYKE on the state of the environment in the Baltic Sea and what we could do together. There will also be an overview of the clubs’ websites and information activities and the important issue of membership recruitment. Finally, we will highlight the Foundation Competition and the Peace and PolioPlus events, as well as the Crisis Relief/ShelterBox.
The seminar will have a full content of club affairs for all. The seminar will provide plenty of activation tips right from the start of the season regarding the programme and especially the events.
Lunch will include a chance to explore the unique Maritime Museum exhibit. At the end of the day, you can visit the Frigate Suomen Joutsen, Parkki Sigyn, Steamship Bore or Mineship IKeihässalmi before heading home.
The District’s Autumn Meeting will be held on Saturday from 14.00. A separate invitation will be sent to the clubs in accordance with the District’s rules. Nominated club representatives must have a proxy from their club (1 proxy representative).
The autumn meeting will present the district’s accounts for 2024-25 and other official business.
