At our district conference, the Ambassador of Ukraine, Mykhailo Vydoinyk, highlighted the difficult situation of Ukrainian children. Many have lost a parent who served as a police officer or border guard.

The Chief of the Ukrainian National Police, Ivan Vyhivskyi, has asked Estonia to organise a summer camp for these children. He writes: “These children are forced to grow up too soon. Recreation outside Ukraine offers them a chance to regain balance and feel safe.”

The Tallinn Rotary Club and the Estonian Police and Border Guard Board are launching a project to bring 60 children to Estonia for a summer camp – away from the reality of war, toward joy and light.

Director General Egert Belitšev emphasises: “We cannot end the war, but we can create bright summer memories for those who need them most.” Goal: approximately €85,000 for travel and camp activities. Every euro counts.
