Become a Host Family for an Exchange Student

The clubs in the Rotary district are looking for host families for exchange students arriving for a year-long exchange. The exchange students come from different parts of the world and are young people aged 15–18 who attend a Finnish upper secondary school for one academic year.

  • Families host the student for 3–4 months
  • All kinds of family structures are welcome
  • The exchange student needs a private room, food, and care
  • Your home can be located anywhere. We will find a nearby Rotary club and exchange student for you.
  • Rotarians provide training for host families and cover the exchange student’s bus ticket and pocket money.
  • In return, the family gets to know a new person and culture, gains confidence in speaking a foreign language, has the opportunity to introduce Finland, and creates lifelong memories!
