Rotary International President 2026–27 Olayinka H. Babalola has set a clear direction for membership growth as Rotary approaches its 125th anniversary in 2030: reaching 1.25 million Rotary members worldwide.
But the goal is not simply about numbers. President Babalola reminds us that every new member is a person whose Rotary story has not yet begun. Growth therefore starts with sharing our own Rotary experience and inviting others to become part of it.
His challenge to every club is simple: “Find your best year for membership growth and retention. Then do better than your best.”
For District 1420, this gives us a clear task for 2026–27: invite, engage and retain — and help every club find its own way to grow.
2030 is not far away. Every new Rotary story we start today brings us one step closer to 1.25 million.
