At the 12th weekly meeting of Rovaniemi Rotary Club, brother Tapani Takalo’s presentation about Viena’s cultural ambassador and poetry singer Marina Takalo was heard. Tapani described his grandmother Marina’s colorful life path and journey to fame. After the performance, there was discussion and reflection in the club about refugees as well as the geopolitical challenges of our time.
The weekly meeting also discussed the successful opening of Northern Lights Wicket and prepared for the End Polio Now fundraiser. Our fairly new member brother Antti Eteläaho now got himself a rotary pin and a board with four questions exam. Those present at your hybrid meeting received from sister Victoria Mlakar some dough to prepare the evening snack.
