Rotary PETS (President-Elect Training Seminar) is a training program for future club presidents and secretaries. It is an important part of Rotary’s training program and aims to prepare elected presidents and secretaries to responsibly and effectively perform their roles in the club during the next term. The PETS training is divided into remote introductory prePETS events and a joint, all-day PETS training that takes place as in-person training.

The main themes of PETS training:

  1. Leadership Development: The training focuses on strengthening the leadership skills of future presidents, such as vision creation, team motivation, and decision-making. Secretaries receive information about their diverse duties in assisting the President.
  2. Rotary’s Core Values and Strategies: Participants will learn more deeply about Rotary’s values, goals, and international programs.
  3. Club Planning: Training focuses on club administration, finances, membership recruitment, project planning and communication.
  4. Networking and sharing experiences: PETS offers participants the opportunity to network with other future presidents as well as experienced Rotarians, facilitating collaboration and improving operations.

The training includes lectures, workshops and group discussions on practical situations and problems. The event is led by experienced Rotarians, such as district governors and other leaders.
