The Rotary year culminates in the district conference. The district conference of our Rotary district 1385 was in Oulu on May 3-5, 2024.
In Oulu Hotel Lasaret, nearly a hundred Rotary activists from various clubs in our wide area gathered. In addition, there were more than twenty young people, Rotaracts, Interacts and exchange students from certain clubs in the district. Rovaniemi Rotary Club was represented by president Manu Pajuluoma.
In addition to celebratory speeches and presentations, the program included the Northern Future seminar, which discussed themes related to NATO, regional development, and community relations. The host was district governor Petri Keränen, and the initiators were air force commander Juha-Pekka Keränen, provincial director Jussi Rämet and vice-rector Arto Maaninen.
In the evening, there was a reception by the city of Oulu at the Art Museum. After that, it was time for a joint dinner with programs, i.e. the traditional Governors Ball.
