Rotaract clubs
Young people doing good
Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored organization for young adults ages 18–30, who are ready to devote their time and expertise for their community. The Rotaractor motto is the same as the Rotarians’: Service Above Self. There are over 200 000 Rotaractors all over the world.
Club meetings are usually held twice a month. They operate independently and decide their own activities. The club is sponsored and supported by a Rotary club. Rotarians of the sponsor club offer whatever information or support is needed and work in co-operation with the Rotaractors in different service projects. The clubs can, for example, visit companies and invite specialists of various fields to tell about their work or topical themes at club meetings.
Charity is an inseparable part of the philosophy of Rotaract clubs. Clubs carry out at least two service projects per year: one to help the local community, and the other to help a community in another country.
Rotaract strives to promote the networking of its members, as well as internationality, and to develop members as professionals of their field and as future leaders. Rotaract means small deeds and great acts for a better world.
