We Belong to District 1385
Rotary Districts
There are five Rotary districts in Finland, which includes Estonia as well as Finland. Each district is headed by a district governor.
The governor of our district D1385 in the operating year 2024-2025 is DG Matias Granvik from Seinäjoki.
The governor is supported by the district council, committees and commissions, as well as the assistant governors of the various regions of the district. Clubs make proposals for governors, and the district’s nominating committee selects the most suitable governor from among the governor candidates. The governor-elect will be appointed at the World Conference of Rotary International.
The district organizes several events for clubs during the year. The most important of them is the Presidents-Elect Training Seminar (PETS) for future club presidents and club officers.
The district meeting is usually organized in autumn and the festive district conference in spring.
The district governor’s goal is to visit all clubs in his district during his year in office. The assistant governors visit the clubs in their own regions.
