Weekly meeting 38 – the subject of the presentation is “Kotimainen kuorma-autoteollisuus” (Arto Kuukasjärvi)

The Rotary Club of Rovaniemi gathered for its 38th weekly meeting today at Hotel Santa Claus. This week’s presentation was held by brother Arto Kuukasjärvi.

In his presentation, he told about the stages of the domestic truck industry from its beginnings to the present day. Oy Suomen Autoteollisuus Ab and the path it led the Finnish truck industry started to serve the transport industry.

Finnish Expertise in heavy transport equipment is based on knowing the customer’s needs and tailor-made solutions. The “factory-to-drive” principle makes it possible to meet exactly the customer’s needs. Finnish know-how is also gathering international interest in the segment of off-road special vehicles made for defense use.

After the great presentation, there was a discussion and reminiscences about our own experiences of driving and encounters with Finnish trucks.
