Testing Rotarians

Every Club Climate Friendly

As pollution levels rise and the world warms, storms and droughts intensify, harming the people whom we, as Rotarians, seek to help.

Priority 1:Increase Rotary’s global impact by taking action to mitigate climate change in club activities.

Priority 2: Expand cooperation with those who are ready to take action against climate change. Seek new partnerships within the community.

Priority 3: Contribute to reducing carbon dioxide emissions and support nature-based solutions, such as restoring mangrove forests, planting trees, and promoting sustainable agriculture.

Priority 4: Adapt by directing investments toward environmental priority areas in order to safeguard future generations.

Climate Challenge for Clubs

Welcome to learn and gain inspiration for climate action in Rotary clubs!

Now is also the time for clubs in our district to roll up their sleeves and gradually become climate-friendly clubs. The district’s Baltic Sea Forum organised a two-part webinar series, mainly in Finnish, which provides clubs with practical tools for their climate transition.

Lifestyle Test

Nearly 70 percent of Europe’s climate emissions are linked to people’s everyday lives — how we eat, live, travel and consume.

A new tool based on Sitra’s Lifestyle Test is now used in eight European countries. The tool has been further developed together with citizens. In Finland, the Lifestyle Test has already been completed more than 1.4 million times.

The Lifestyle Test helps people find choices that match their values and life situations. This makes it possible to live a good life while also helping to slow climate change. The tool was developed through dozens of workshops involving participants from eight European countries. It is part of the EU-funded PSLifestyle project, which contributes to the European Green Deal.
