Ruusuvuori School in Vantaa won Rotary’s water backpack in a lottery held during the Girls’ Day event at Heureka. Since then, the school has actively used the equipment for water research, providing students with hands-on learning experiences.

Over the past year, 9th-grade students have used the water backpack for their final projects, while 6th-grade students have eagerly conducted regular water analyses. The school has also created a database for Ankkalampi, where it plans to add new results annually and compare previous measurements.

The school warmly thanks Rotary for its contribution to education and support for the natural sciences. At the same time, possibilities are being explored to supplement the contents of the water backpack to further enhance environmental research conditions.
