Foundation seminars are being planned, and donations to the Rotary Foundation enable support activities even for those who cannot participate directly. The Foundation welcomes both monthly donors and one-time contributions. The Rotary Peace Centers program also offers opportunities to study international conflict resolution with scholarship support – more information is available upon request.
Spring is approaching, days are getting longer, and it is time to mark upcoming events in the calendar: the spring meeting on 17 April at Hotel Kalastajatorppa (from 17:30) and the district conference and gala dinner on 18 April at the same venue (conference 10:00–16:00, gala 18:00–01:00). Affordable accommodation is available for those travelling from afar. More details on registration will follow soon.
Our district has selected the DGND for 2028–2029: Tiit Rahkema from the Rapla club. With over 30 years of Rotary experience and four years as Assistant Governor, he is an excellent and well qualified choice. Warm congratulations!
Governor visits continue, and it has been a pleasure to meet clubs and experience the positive spirit everywhere. A few visits remain, and the goal is to visit every club. In June, a visit to Pärnu’s accessible beach is planned. In September, the Rotary Action Summit will take place in Palanga, Lithuania, and our district is committed to sending 10 participants.
PrePels will be held in Finland on 24 February, 26 February and 4 March, and in Estonia on 3 March. The PELS events will take place in Finland on 14 March and in Estonia on 20 March.
Please remember to follow the district website for current news and use MyRotary to strengthen your Rotary knowledge.
We can be proud to be part of a global service organisation and to make a positive difference together.
