At the ceremonial concert-act marking the 107th anniversary of the Estonian Police and Border Guard Board, titled “Heart in the Right Place”, police service decorations were presented and the best contributors of the year were announced. The Gold Service Cross of the Police was awarded to Tallinn Rotary Club past presidents Margus Viigimaa and Gunnar Toomemets.
The recognised project focused on supporting internal security in Ukraine. In cooperation with the Estonian Police and other Rotary clubs, 57 emergency vehicles have been delivered to Ukraine.
While presenting the award, the Director General of the Police and Border Guard Board, Egert Belitšev, said:
“This has been cooperation with people whose hearts are in the right place.”
