An up-to-date website is one of the easiest ways to communicate with members about club meetings and other activities. Through the website, we can also share information about our club with other Rotarians and people interested in Rotary. Updating and editing the site requires some learning, but it is by no means rocket science.
This year, the Communications and Membership Committees will support clubs in many ways in developing their skills to keep their websites up to date. The work will start in September with a survey sent to club presidents and secretaries. Responding to the survey will serve as a self-assessment tool for the club and provide the district with information about clubs’ training and other needs.
Based on the survey responses, we will organize joint training sessions for clubs on updating and editing websites. If needed, we will also work with you to consider ways to improve your club’s communications. During the autumn, we will also start compiling a district-wide image bank for clubs to use.
You can also share your ideas and wishes directly with the Communications Committee (viestinta.d1420@rotary.fi) and the Membership Committee (erkkisakarikarjalainen[at]gmail.com).
