Tammer Nova is an active rotary club in Tampere, founded in 1.11.1995 in Tampere, gathering and uniting professionals in different sectors for networking, making a difference and doing good locally and internationally.

We carry out our social responsibility in Rotary Service projects. Tammer Nova has been educating and encouraging talented high school students in Tampere in the university level Management and Leadership course Nuoret Naiset johtamisurille (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards RYLA project) since 2006.

We collaborate with other local rotary clubs in the common Rotary service projects and support the Rotary International humanitarian work globally.  Tammer Nova participates actively in the Rotary Youth Exchange program by sending own exchange students and finding host families for international students in Tampere area.

Our sponsor club is RC Tampere-Jussinkylä  and we have a friendship club in Germany, Rotary Club Leipzig-Herbst’89. There are 50 members in Tammer Nova, and we belong to District 1390.

A Hobby with a Purpose

We set a high value on the efforts of Rotary International and on this organisation’s valuable work in eradicating polio from the world. Rotary has invested a lot of voluntary work and more than 1.2 billion US dollars for this work only.

An Influential International Organisation

Rotary was established 23 February 1905 in Chicago. It is an international service and charity organisation. The homestead of Rotary International is Evanston, Illinois. Our motto is Service Above Self.

Rotary has 1.2 million members in 35,000 clubs in more than 200 countries. Rotary is a remarkable international service and charity organisation.  Finland is divided into six Rotary districts, one of which includes the Estonian clubs.  In Finland and Estonia, there are 300 clubs altogether, with more than 10,000 Rotarians.
