Introducing Rotary District 1400
Rotary District 1400
We are one of six Rotary districts operating in Finland.
We organize many events at our clubs each year. The district meeting is held usually in autumn and a festive district conference in spring. The clubs’ president-elects and officials have an annual training seminar (PETS), which is important to attend.
Each Rotary district is headed by a governor. The governor is supported by the district council, district committees, and the assistant governors of the regions belonging to the district. The district governor visits every club in his district during his year in office.
The district nominating committee nominates the most qualified Rotarian out of the candidates suggested by the clubs to serve as district governor. The governor-elect is nominated at the Rotary International Convention.
