Finland has six Rotary districts, which include Estonia in addition to Finland. Each district is led by a District Governor.

The Governor of our own District D1380 for the 2025–2026 year is DG Tarmo Kokkola from Raahe. The next Governor will be Suvi Linden from our club!

The Governor is supported by the district council, committees, and task forces, as well as assistant governors for the district’s various areas. Clubs submit nominations for governors, and the district’s nominating committee selects the most suitable candidate. The incoming governor is appointed at Rotary International’s World Convention.

The district organizes several events for clubs throughout the year. The most important of these is the training seminar for incoming club presidents and club officers, known as PETS (President-Elect Training Seminar).

The district assembly is generally held in the autumn and the celebratory district conference in the spring.

The District Governor visits all clubs in the district during their term of office, while assistant governors visit the clubs in their respective areas.
