We Belong to District 1410
Rotary Districts
There are six Rotary districts in Finland, including Estonia. The district is headed by a district governor.
The governor of our own district 1410 for the 2026-2027 financial year is DG Sakari Alaranta of RC Liedon Vanhalinna.
The work of the governor is supported by a district council, a number of committees and working groups, and by assistant governors for the district’s various subdivisions. The clubs petition for a governor, and the district appointing committee appoints the most suitable candidate for governor from among the candidates. The governor-elect is appointed at the Rotary International World Conference.
The district organizes several events for the clubs throughout the year, the most important of which is the training seminar for incoming club presidents and officers (PELS).
The district meeting is usually held in the autumn and the more festive district conference in the spring.
The district governor visits all clubs in his district during the fiscal year. The assistant governors regularly visit the clubs in their area.
