The global Rotary is more relevant now than ever, and its capacity to do good is enormous. The Rotary Foundation supports international projects with, among other things, Global Grants.<\/p>\n

All projects funded with Global Grant must be affiliated with one or more of Rotary\u2019s areas of focus.<\/p>\n

They are:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Promoting peace by preventing and mediating conflict<\/li>\n
  2. Fighting disease<\/li>\n
  3. Providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene<\/li>\n
  4. Saving mothers and children<\/li>\n
  5. Supporting education<\/li>\n
  6. Growing local economies<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The minimum budget for a Global Grant project is 30 000 USD. Each Global Grant must be sponsored by two clubs or districts, with the host club being in the country where the project is to be realized, and the international partner from outside the country. With the Global Grant Rotary is aiming to realize larger projects, with sustainable effects and permanent solutions. Eradicating polio is also part of Rotary\u2019s international activity.<\/p>\n
